Rocky Ford, President (since 1994), has nearly thirty five years experience in independent school management. Formerly the Assistant Headmaster for Development at The Lovett School in Atlanta, he established and managed the school’s admission and development offices from 1976–1992. Rocky served as the Vice Chair of the Atlanta International School from 1986-1990, chaired the search committee for the first Head of School, chaired the Development Committee and trained the school's first Director of Development. He founded Ford & Associates in 1993 and continues to actively consult.

Rocky’s expertise in independent school fundraising has led to his reputation as a national and international development consultant. He has worked with schools in the United States as well as American Schools overseas in Europe, Southeast Asia and Central America. A presenter of seminars for CASE, APC, and other organizations, Rocky has served on two SACS accreditation teams, three CASE/NAIS planning committees and chaired the 1991 CASE/NAIS annual conference in St. Louis.

Rocky is a graduate of Western Reserve Academy and received a BA in English from the University of Virginia. He lives in Atlanta, has three grown children and six grandchildren.

Becky Ross, Vice President (since 1999), worked for twelve years in the development office at Maumee Valley Country Day School in Toledo, Ohio. During that time the school's endowment more than tripled, the Annual Fund increased 10–15% each year, and the school successfully completed an ambitious capital campaign.

Becky conducts all client services. She has worked with schools throughout the United States as well as The International School in Jakarta, Indonesia and the American School in Japan. She is a presenter at CASE/NAIS conferences, has served on four CASE/NAIS planning committees and chaired the annual conference. She has also served on eleven ISACS evaluation teams.

Becky is a graduate of Maumee Valley Country Day School and has a BA and an MLS from Bowling Green State University.

Laura Gray, Consultant (since 2002), worked for nearly ten years in the Development Office at River Oaks Baptist School in Houston where she managed development publications, ran the Annual Fund, implemented special events and assisted with two successful Capital Campaigns. She is a specialist in Raiser’s Edge. Prior to R.O.B.S. she was a management consultant.

A graduate of Baylor University with a BBA in Financial Planning, Laura coordinates our Annual Giving and Development Publications consulting in addition to providing other client services.

Sarah Onsager, Consultant (since 2004), worked as the Director of Development at Holy Innocents Episcopal School, overseeing the Annual Fund, Parents Program and PR departments. Prior to her work with HIES, she spent six years running the Annual Fund Office at Agnes Scott College.

Sarah works on Development Office Assessments, Jump Start your Annual Fund individual consulting, Feasibility Studies, Campaign Consulting, and Executive Search. She served on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern and Dunwoody Stage Door Players.

Sarah is a graduate of Wake Forest University, with a BA in English and Theatre Arts.

Elizabeth Standard, Director of Publications (since 2000), assists with all client services, including Feasibility Studies and Campaigns, and coordinates Publications, our development e-news, and our website. She previously conducted prospect research for various clients and is a former member of APRA.

A graduate of Oxford College and Emory University with a BA in Psychology, Elizabeth worked in the Offices of Admission, Financial Aid, and Development at Oxford College. While there she volunteered with a literacy program for primary school students. She currently volunteers with Zoo Atlanta and has been active in raising funds for a non-profit martial arts school she attends.
