Rocky Ford, President (since 1994), has nearly thirty five years experience in independent school management. Formerly the Assistant Headmaster for Development at The Lovett School in Atlanta, he established and managed the school’s admission and development offices from 1976–1992. Rocky served as the Vice Chair of the Atlanta International School from 1986-1990, chaired the search committee for the first Head of School, chaired the Development Committee and trained the school's first Director of Development. He founded Ford & Associates in 1993 and continues to actively consult.
Rocky’s expertise in independent school fundraising has led to his reputation as a national and international development consultant. He has worked with schools in the United States as well as American Schools overseas in Europe, Southeast Asia and Central America. A presenter of seminars for CASE, APC, and other organizations, Rocky has served on two SACS accreditation teams, three CASE/NAIS planning committees and chaired the 1991 CASE/NAIS annual conference in St. Louis.
Rocky is a graduate of Western Reserve Academy and received a BA in English from the University of Virginia. He lives in Atlanta, has three grown children and six grandchildren.
